At Reintegreat, we are committed to helping every learner overcome barriers and achieve their potential. Many of our students arrive with gaps in learning, low confidence, or previous negative experiences of education. To address this, we provide a wide range of academic interventions, tailored to meet individual needs.

These interventions are available both to students within Reintegreat and, on an outreach basis, to support learners and staff in mainstream schools across Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar, and surrounding local authorities. Our goal is always to support progress, build confidence, and prevent exclusions wherever possible.

What Are Academic Interventions?
 

At Reintegreat, interventions are targeted support sessions designed to:
 

• Help students achieve or exceed their target grades and levels

• Provide emotional and social support to increase confidence and wellbeing

• Address gaps in knowledge and misconceptions

• Build resilience and positive attitudes towards learning
   

Interventions span all year groups and abilities, guided by current data, assessments, and progress reviews.

At Reintegreat, we believe that reading is a vital part of the curriculum with benefits that go far beyond the classroom.

How Reading Plus Works:
 

• Adaptive online literacy programme improving fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, stamina, and motivation

• Students complete 30 minutes of independent online reading daily, followed by comprehension questions

• The programme then generates a personalised reading plan, tailored to each student’s needs
   

Century Learning
 

Century Learning is an adaptive digital platform that provides highly personalised learning pathways.

Benefits of Century Learning:
 

• Personalisation – ensures every student learns at the right level for them

• Closing gaps – addresses misconceptions and fills gaps in knowledge

• Continuous adaptation – adjusts learning pathways as students develop

• Engagement – personalised learning increases time on task, motivation, and student ownership of learning

By offering immediate feedback and tracking, Century Learning helps students to stay engaged, supported, and challenged.
 

Assessments at Reintegreat

All new starters at Reintegreat complete a range of assessments to ensure their needs are understood from the outset. These include:

• Baseline academic assessments

• Literacy and language screening

• Dyslexia and dyscalculia screening

• SEND assessments

• Wellbeing assessments
   

This information helps us:

• Identify gaps in learning and provide targeted support

• Highlight underlying needs that may affect progress

• Gather evidence to support Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) applications where appropriate
   

Outreach and Partnership Work
 

Reintegreat also works closely with secondary schools and academies across Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar, and surrounding local authorities. Our outreach programmes aim to:
 

• Support students at risk of fixed-term or permanent exclusion

• Provide alternative interventions to help learners re-engage in mainstream settings

• Share expertise and strengthen inclusive practice in partnership with schools
