Curriculum Intent

Mathematics is a core life skill and is essential for success in education, employment, and everyday life. At Reintegreat, we aim to equip our learners with the mathematical knowledge and confidence they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Our curriculum is designed to ensure students become fluent in the fundamentals of mathematics, reason mathematically, and apply their knowledge to solve real-life problems. We believe strongly in creating positive learning experiences that build confidence, resilience, and independence.

Through our teaching, we emphasise that mathematics is:

-
Essential to science, technology, and engineering
-
Necessary for financial literacy and everyday decision-making
-
Critical for most forms of employment and future success
What We Teach

All aspects of maths are covered at Reintegreat, including:

-
Number
-
Shape and Space
-
Measures
-
Handling Data
-
Using and Applying
Key Stage 3

At KS3, the curriculum builds on prior learning from KS2, developing fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Lessons allow time for repetition, practice in different contexts, and opportunities to apply knowledge across the curriculum. Our aim is to build functional mathematical skills that increase confidence and prepare students for KS4.
